Breaking the Blog’s Virginity

Filed under: General — Rev. J. Reed Braden @ 4:59 am

With this new blog I still intend to focus on Atheism, science and secularism, but I also want to cover a few more topics to keep it varied; namely sex (and sexual safety), gay rights and relationships.

Posts that contain information about my sex life (a la Greta Christina) will be prefaced by this image:

SexWarning

Right now, unfortunately, my sex life is at a stand-still and no one has to worry.

I’m also willing to give sexual and relationship advice to readers, gay and straight.  Email me at reedbraden@gmail.com if you have a question you would like answered or a problem you need help with.  I don’t have all the answers, obviously, but I’m willing to help where I can.

Other than that added aspect, this should be pretty much the same as my former blog, Unorthodox Atheism.

  1. In breaking your comment virginity, I’ll be gentle (unless you like it rough that is)

Ahh, I can already feel the filthiness that is arising out of me now I’m on an 18+ blog. It feels good.

  2. Oh, is that what that red stuff on the floor is? o.o

  3. So, this may be a stupid question, but the only sex advice columnists I’ve seen have been straight women and gay men. Is there something about having penises charging after you that makes for good advice?

  4. Congrats on the move! I look forward to reading all sorts of good new stuff.

    And things.

    Stuff is a silly word.

  5. Reed,

I far prefer WordPress as well. I’m glad for the move, though I rather enjoyed the old moniker and it will take some getting used to “Gaytheist.”

I don’t know how I feel about the new treat you will be bestowing upon the internet community. Not only does it seem that it won’t apply to me, but I also worry it will detract for the standard Reed-ism that we have grown accustomed to. Either way, count me as a frequent visitor.

  6. Letsburn00 –
I’ll take it rough, hot and black: no cream, no sugar.

    Chicken -
No. The red stuff is lipstick and toenail polish. Us fags bleed blue out of our black hearts. Don’t you ever listen to Pat Robertson?

    Zach -
    Yes.

    Jeremy -
I look forward to writing new stuff. Err… things.

    Trey -
I’m sure you’ll be fine with the sex talk. I imagine most of it being about sexual health in general, not specifically for gays nor describing specific positions… most of the time.

  7. I must admit that I am slightly amused by the new name; at first glance it looks like “Gay Theist.”

Of course, that hasn’t slowed buisness for expertsexchange or penisland…

  8. I thought the same thing. I also have a little brain, so it isn’t surprising. All about the gay rights. Best of luck. I’ll be paying attention.
