I’m shutting down my old blog, Unorthodox Atheism, and moving here. I’ve been playing a bit with WordPress over the past month and I much prefer it to Blogger even though I am a slave to all things Google.

Truth be told, I coined the phrase Homosecular Gaytheist and people have already begun to “steal” it from me. I don’t mind people using it as long as I get some mention… I had plans on using it as a title for my coming-out memoir. I’m just cock-blocking them by changing the name. The move to WordPress was inevitable though… it’s a much better platform than Blogger with a few minute exceptions.

When I first read a link to UA, I though the same thing–”WTF kinda thing shit is this??”
But, in the odd way music makes a band, content seems to make a blog name. (I remember thinking–back in the 80’s–the band name Metallica sounded cheesy. It made me visualize a sinister ninja android. Something like ‘Metallidon’ or ‘Metallideth’ or ‘MetalliJovi’ or ‘MetalliHalen’ seemed much better. After years of listening to their good music the name Metallica just fit.)
The phrase ‘Homosecular Gaytheist’ is rich. I’ve always liked it, and until now, privately wished I were gay so I could swipe it from you too.
As I’ve said, I’m sure to get used to it because the content is the shit. After all, you’re a good read. (god damn, if we were talking that’d be a great pun)
