Atlanta

I’m spending about a week in Florida, so don’t expect too many posts here for a while.
I’m in a hotel room in Atlanta at the moment.  I’ll be finishing the drive to Florida tomorrow.
Also, I stubbed my toe and split my toe nail down the middle about 1/3 inch.  Don’t click here if you’re squeamish.  [...]

Enlighten Me on Rachael Ray

After whoring out the link to my previous post on Rachael Ray and Michelle Malkin to family and friends, I’ve been getting a lot of hate toward Ms. Ray over IM and email.  Is there a reason why many of you don’t like her?  I admit I don’t know much about the woman, so I [...]

FAQ

Evolved and Rational set up a FAQ page.  Not to be outdone, I’m going to start my own, better FAQ, using this post as a temporary FAQ page.

Paisley Scarf = OMG! TERRORZ!!!

Rachael Ray shot an online add for Dunkin Donuts wearing a stylish paisley scarf.

I think the scarf is rather attractive on Ms. Ray.  Michelle Malkin, a snivelling cunt who would probably be the next Bill O’Reilly if she wasn’t brown and a woman (it’s hard to spew hate about brown people and women when [...]

Former Press Secretary Confesses to Wartime Propaganda

The Washington Post has the story.
Former White House press secretary Scott McClellan writes in a new memoir that the Iraq war was sold to the American people with a sophisticated “political propaganda campaign” led by President Bush and aimed at “manipulating sources of public opinion” and “downplaying the major reason for going to war.”

Respect My Disrespect!

Scott Adams, noted woo woo and distinguished nutcase, sometimes gets it right.
For instance, last Sunday’s Dilbert comic has me to a tee.  Except my hair isn’t triangular and my name isn’t Alice.

NASA, UN Plan To Take Over World With Holographic Jesus

I was browsing Yahoo Answers’ astronomy and space section, because sometimes listening to a gigantic horde of drooling, mouth-breathing troglodytes makes me feel better about my own flaws, when I came across this:
Who thinks Project Blue Beam is really gonna happen, leading to NWO?

Phoenix Descends

Phil Plait, the Bad Astronomer, has just made Carl Sagan very proud.

Anyone who says that science cannot produce anything so awe-inspiring can now go hide in a corner.

Phoenix Lands!

The Phoenix spacecraft has just landed near the Martian North Pole.  In twenty minutes, the dust will have settled and it can begin its work digging through the soil and ice, looking for signs that Mars is hospitable to microbial life.  I’ll try to keep you updated on how it goes.

The Roanoke Times Got It Right!

The Roanoke Times has its fair share of religious pandering, but occasionally they get the right idea.
This cartoon by Chris OBrion illustrates the recent ACLU investigations of Craig County’s Bible classes.

Switch out the RSS

Many of you are still using the RSS feed from my old blog, Unorthodox Atheism, to read Homosecular Gaytheist.  This is fine and dandy for a few more days, but the feed will disappear into the abyss of dead cyberspace soon.  The feed for Homosecular Gaytheist, for the 200 of you who haven’t switched over [...]

Roanoke Times: Religion Course at School Disputed

I just looked at yesterday’s newspaper and felt a glimmer of hope for Southwest Virginia.
One of the front page stories was “Religion Course at School Disputed:  The ACLU is looking into the unconstitutionality of a class approved in Craig County.”

Conversation With a Bigot

My racist, homophobic, bigoted grandmother is in town.
No more than 30 minutes after arriving, she pushed me into a discussion about politics.  If you can’t tell from my description of her, she’s a staunch Republican.  Even for Central Louisiana, she’s a religious whacko.

President Yahya A.J.J. Jammeh of Gambia, a West African nation under military rule, has just announced that all gays and lesbians–”bad elements”– have 24 hours to flee the country before they will be slaughtered wholesale, reports The Advocate.

Let’s Get Dawkins On Oprah

Stella and Elles had an interesting idea today.  Let’s bombard Oprah with emails to get Richard Dawkins on her show.  Why?  Because it would be fucking fun, that’s why!
