It’s Over For Hillary…
… but do you think she’ll actually stop campaigning?
I don’t think she will. I predict that Obama will win the nomination, win the general election and be inaugurated… for his second term… before Hillary stops campaigning. The sad thing is this: Those who see her as America’s Messiah are going to continue giving her money–probably even more money than before–until she officially steps down.

It has been over for her for a long time, but no, I don’t expect her to stop anytime soon. It is hard to know whether this is doing damage to the Democratic party. I guess we will find out if we end up with 4 more years of Bush.

Yeah, there is no way she is going to stop. There are still a decent number of states left (West Virginia, Kentucky, Oregon) and wins will erase the doubt of yesterday’s lost; however, the question of whether she should drop out is a good one. To be this tenacious, she would either have to see herself as a far better president (and I don’t mean by a little. We’re talking some full on hubris) or she recognizes that there is here one chance, that if she can’t win the democratic nominations this year, that is it for her.
As far as McCain being 4 more years of Bush, I would say that is a little over the top. When McCain was shoring up the nomination early on, do you remember the uproar by the Republicans? He’s not a true conservative, he’s a maverick, he doesn’t suckle at the teat of big business with the proper amount of awe and reverence, etc. The point being that McCain is, in my opinion, different from Bush in several ways. Militarially they are similar, but to expect McCain to be as vocal about his faith and whatnot is just not going to happen.
