Here are the VoteMatch Political Philosophy Quiz results for Rep. Bob Goodlatte and myself:
With Bob Goodlatte in Congress, we have a steady rubber stamp vote for any Conservative issue. That’s not how democracy is supposed to work.
I’m a moderate. I was raised in a Baptist Conservative family and that still holds some influence over my political opinions. I don’t follow one party and I doubt I ever will. Whereas Bob is only speaking for the far-right conservatives in the Sixth District, I am open to the concerns of all of my future constituents.
While we’re in the mood for comparisons, let’s dive into the shallow end and compare the candidates on a first impression basis, shall we? A lot can be learned by one’s first look at another person.
First, here’s Bob.
He sort of looks like a squirrel wearing blush, don’t you think?
And here’s me.
Mmm hmm…. Who wouldn’t vote for that?

I wouldn’t vote for “that” because “that”… didn’t quite answer the way I’d expect…

So you would rather have the right-wing conservative than me because I happen to be a bit more moderate and open-minded than you?

Aw Reed, pubic hair on your chin? And you looked so yummy in the Xmyth shot. Like the bareness, not the hairness. *snerk*

It’s the contrary, actually, I’m to the left of you.
I’m to the left of everyone.
So, here’s my results, or a picture of me posing naked.
Who knows?

I didn’t accuse you being to the right. You said you would not vote for me because you didn’t like the way I answered the questions, so I assumed that would be a vote for my right-wing opponent. That doesn’t mean you’re a right-winger, just that you have an “anyone but” mentality.

While I’m not sure what an “anyone but” mentality is (I assume that you meant to say that I would only elect someone that thinks exactly the same way I do) I don’t think that it would fit me.
Democracy is always choosing between a Turd Sandwich and a Giant Douche. I usually opt for the candidate that’s most like me (I know, I’m a Nazi :D ) but that’s usually not one of the bigger candidates, because I oppose this two-party dictatorship.
It’s not really democracy when it’s a corporate-ruled nearly-no-opposition government. Well… What am I talking about? I can’t vote yet.

Mmm… I would totally vote for that.
